Oh, I get it. The bread is bad because of what it does when the ducks don't eat it. I've seen pieces floating in the water and then sink. Do rats swim? I guess I never thought about uneaten bread attracting rats.
Oh goodness! I've never heard of that before. Did you check with the pet store to see if they had any ideas why. It makes sense that he would stop eating if he can't see.
No, I've never owned a goat. I don't really know the value of owning goats. You said they keep the grass down but what other benefits do you get from goats? I've always been curious about this.

I was going to say eggshells. Birds love seeds too, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. I didn't know that you shouldn't fred birds bread. We have always tossed bread to the pigeons.
I have seen many horses but I have never seen any that run around pushing a ball around. Personally for me, I'd want to ride a "bored" horse because I would be afraid that an energetic horse might buck me or my child off.
I'm interested to know if the bubble is still there or if it is gone now. I have seen bubbles on fish and there was nothing wrong. I bet it wasn't a parasite because it wasn't white. That usually means infection. Hope all is well with your fish.
How often would you have to change the water in these ponds? My friend has one and they change it every month. I think it's too often because often times the fish die (almost right after).
I'm not sure if the pig will be outside for long periods of time. I think it would live indoors most of the time, like the dog. Thanks for your input though. I would make a pig pen for the pig to play outside.
My daughter wants to get a pet pig. I really know nothing about pet pigs. I would think that if we did get a pig it would be free to roam inside or outside (like our dog). What would we need outdoors for a pet pig?

I had bunnies when I was a kid. They didn't interact with the cat at all. To be honest, I don't think we ever took them to the vet. I'm not really sure if they need shots. My bunnies were outdoor bunnies. I bet if you had an indoor rabbit there would be shots and such.
